Organize your movies easily
Creating collections is simple on Movr and allows you to organize your movies in ways that make sense to you. Movr Collections lets you arrange them the way you want, create Sub-Collections, and even re-name or delete them with ease. Say you’re into Japanese films but there are too many to sift through easily. First you could create a main collection title called Japanese Cinema. Then create sub-collections titled Samurai films, New Wave or Contemporary. The choices are endless.

Easy access to all of your movies, anytime
Having your own Collections makes it simple to find your movies easily. For film lovers like us who’ve watch hundreds and hundreds of movies, finding specific ones would be a challenge. Not so on Movr. Features like Movr Collections makes it effortless to locate the types of movies you’re looking for.

Film Life is at a turning point. Like the music and publishing industries before it, the social web is transforming the world of film.

At Movr we believe the future of film is about finding new and interesting ways to experience movies. Which is great news for film lovers, producers, cinemas, festivals . . . everyone!

Online today there are loads of film sites that really suck at helping us share our favorite movies. So Movr is introducing an evolution in how we share and discover movies: the Film Gallery.

The Movr Film Gallery is as an interactive movie discovery portal. It is your very own online catalog of the movies you watch or make, giving you a dynamic and fun way to:

• showcase and share the movies you like or have made
• seek out and share those unique movies you love
• explore and expand your movie tastes through the film interests of people and film festivals around the world
• find old favorites and hard-to-find gems

You can think of the Film Gallery as your personal online movie collection, like your ‘movie profile’, and an expression of your own unique film tastes. A place where you can re-create a virtual catalog of your home library, filled with the movies you love or the films you’ve made.

Movr has recently added a new feature called ‘Collections’: a unique way to personalize your Film Gallery even more, by allowing you to group your movies into your very own collections & sub-collections.

For instance, you might create a collection of ‘Favorite Japanese Films’ or ‘Movies I love to hate’, ‘Films that inspired my film making’ or ‘Movies to watch for film school’. Then, for example, inside your ‘Favorite Japanese films’ collection you can create sub-collections of films from different eras, filmmakers, genres or styles, etc. Its up to you…the choices are endless.

Then, once you’ve added 10 or more films to your Gallery, it will be published in the Film Galleries area. Here film lovers like you can explore the amazing world of film: a place to connect to and explore the Galleries of your friends, of neighbors with interesting collections, and with your favorite film festivals around the world.

What is Movr?
Movr is a social movie network for film lovers and filmmakers. Movr is here to unlock new ways to experience movies.

Movr’s first feature release is ‘Film Gallery’ a module that let’s you share and explore galleries of the movies you love and make.

People use their Film Gallery to promote their work, showcase or show off their own special film tastes, create a virtual library of their home movie collection, or even help them remember what movies they want to watch next time they visit the DVD store. Best of all, you can also explore other people’s film galleries as a fun way to discover new movies and get inspiration from people who share your movie interests.

Plus, people can add movies titles to Movr’s social movie encyclopedia – Movrpedia. This is a great way for movie buffs to ensure even the most obscure films they know are in their film galleries, and for filmmakers to ensure every professional film they have ever made is represented inside the Movr catalog and promoted in their film gallery across Movr and Facebook.

Our aim for Movrpedia is to provide movie buffs around the world with the largest active catalog of professional film, unbiased by country, style or vested interests. This includes blockbusters, independent films, international films, art films and student films, from feature-length movies to documentaries and shorts. Movr members can then select from a convenient list of online places to buy and download their favorite movies.

The Movr team is a group of dedicated film buffs with film production, business and inter-web experience looking to overcome the lack of choice and access to films online, and help filmmakers with their struggle to find their audience and keep making interesting and enjoyable cinema.

In time we will provide filmmakers with extensive tools to tap directly into our expanding Movr community to build a dedicated audience-base around their work.

For now, the Movr Film Gallery is the first of many feature releases we plan to unveil over the near future. So, jump in and have a look around. Take your first step in exploring your film interests in new ways.
